Good New For Kuflink Lenders
In a very positive development that provides reassurance about Kuflink, one of its two major restrictions has been removed from the financial regulator's register.
The restriction on it taking new customers – borrowers or lenders – is gone. This would suggest that Kuflink has gone a long way to allay any of the Financial Conduct Authority's concerns that led to it putting up this massive block in the first place.
Kuflink can therefore now most likely take on new borrowers and lenders. Its manual lending account is open. As far as we know, since late last year this account has just been approving a few further tranches to existing borrowers to complete their property developments. Now that Kuflink can take on new borrowers you could see the supply of new loans re-open.
At time of writing, Kuflink is still not signing up new lenders, although only days have passed since the restriction was removed. If Kuflink intends to continue its business model of running an online lending platform, it might possibly first need to re-open the flow of borrowers.
A separate big restriction – that Kuflink is to close its auto-lend to further money from lenders – remains. (Oddly, Kuflink's home page still advertises its auto-lend product, although if you click on the link to it you're taken to the sign-in page.)
The restriction on Kuflink not to do any further lending to connected parties, such as its owners and their families, is also still in place. Those parties may not even drawn down additional tranches in agreed facilities.
